Finished Hat

Although it would be more useful as a doily or something like that. It looks horrid. Here are some pictures...

So the first picture makes the hat look not too bad, but then in the second it is revealed that it is TOO FREAKING BIG GOD DIGGITY DANGIT WHAT DID I DO WRONG.

OH WELL, still sending it to her. She gets the first, and the shittiest, hat I have made.

This last pictures is almost a helmet like pictures. Like, what the heck.

Oops

It seems that not only did I forget to knit and update this blog, but that the pictures have gone missing showing you what I had been knitting and what I had already completed. WELP. RUDE.

Let me just show pictures of what I've posted about, if I have them still.

Joyce's Scarf From Last Winter

Umm... Megan's Scarf is a little harder to find but here's a facebook photo of hers.

It's hard to tell but her scarf has tassel bits on the ends of it.
And I sadly do not have a picture of the scarf I started last winter but never got to finish. There was an incident when I moved into my new dorm this year and I ended up having to throw out all my yarn and all the projects I was working on. Which sucked. I do have some new stuff, however, and some progress to show you for other things.

This first one is the current thing I am working on as Megan's gift (yes I realize Christmas is tomorrow... she'll get over it)
I am currently making her a hat that is WAY TOO FREAKING BIG. LIKE WHAT EVEN DID I DO TO MAKE IT THIS BIG. It's okay, it was made with love.

While working on that project I am also making a scarf for my friend Aubrey. It's a super pretty color and it will be ten times easier to finish that the hat *falls off cliff*

The color I am using is seriously so pretty and I am half tempted to keep the scarf for myself. But I won't... because this is also a Christmas present... YAY FOR LATENESS.

Works in Progress Update 1

Okay! This first piece is my first crochet scarf I've ever worked on. I got the yarn and the needle from my friend Laura and from there she taught me how to crochet. I'm not sure if this piece is for someone else or for me, but due to its quality it may be for me.

The next piece is a gray scarf that I'm making for my friend Aubrey. It is my first time experimenting with knit and purl stitches. For each row I knit two and purl two until I get to the end and it creates a nice ribbed like pattern.

I am thoroughly enjoying the way this scarf is turning out and am excited for its final product.

Maybe an update or a finished piece soon.

Second Scarf - For Megan

This is an extremely late Christmas present for one of my best friends named Megan. It took me much longer than expected to make this scarf (and a lot of the time I was not actively knitting it) and thus it is two months after Christmas and I'm sending this just today.

For this scarf I used a regular knit stitch and just tied bits of yarn to the ends of the scarf to create the dangling bits. Yay!

The next post will be a progress post on the two projects I'm currently working on. 8]

First Scarf - For Joyce

This is the first scarf I've completed and it was for a family friend of mine named Joyce. She had very recently lost her husband and as a Christmas present I made her this scarf. It is a bit short, but she loved it. I wanted to give it to her to remind her that even though someone in her life had gone, she could stay warm with all the friends and loved ones still in her life.

This is a picture of me wearing the scarf with pure joy on my face. This is, after all, the first scarf I've finished.

There will be a number of other things posted every once in a while but seeing as I'm a slow knitter/crocheter there may be long periods of time where I don't post. If I feel as if it has been too long, I will post my progress on the current scarf or object I am working on.
